short demo of approach to release open data to osm and wikidata simultaneously
the idea is to publish open datasets in both databases including reciprocal links:
wikidata=*
tag in osmOSM relation ID
property in wikidatathe current proposal within osm is that osm relations best represent permanence as they relate a concept; this underpins the choice of OSM relation ID
as the reciprocal link in wikidata
using relations poses a challenge for a data controller adding a node or way to osm+wikidata, because they would also have to make it a relation: (a) stable node or way will need a "fake relation" encapsulating it, creating redundance in the OSM data model and overloading OSM infrastructure
